Swiss researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) have been looking into the possibility of 3D-printed mycelium hydrogels and how they could be used as living materials in relation to robots. The specific research goal here was not only to additive manufacture skin for robots, but also to make it self-healing.
