2021 (Autumn) Channel: General ideas and needs in the field of additive manufacturing

Binder Jetting (BJ) is still not widely used in industry. However, this technology is seen as one of the major additive manufacturing processes in the future across a wide range of materials, but especially for metals. Additionally, Switzerland has an excellent binder jetting ecosystem covering first class research, cutting edge technology, and strong application domains with world leading companies across several industry sectors.

For extending the possibilities of today’s Binder Jetting, a specific exploring and research platform shall be built-up to allow early-stage trials and pre-studies and prepare for follow-up research projects. This platform shall offer to all industry companies interested in BJ to explore this technology for their purposes e.g., in the context of an Innocheque project funded by Innosuisse.
