High-frequency systems and satellites are crucial for space observation, weather analysis, and communication, with companies facing increasing demands for more powerful systems. Northrop Grumman is developing the GEOStar-3 satellite system, which can carry up to 800 kg and 8000 watts, and has partnered with St12 RF Solutions (a subsidiary of Swiss company SWISSto12) to provide advanced high-frequency antennas using innovative RF additive manufacturing technology. The successful qualification of these antennas paves the way for the GEOStar-3 launch in 2024.
