The Hannover Medical School (MHH) has achieved a global first by successfully implanting a customized ear implant, produced with Desktop Metal’s 3D-Bioplotter®, in a patient with a recurring ear canal issue. The innovative implant, acting as a stent with drug release capabilities, demonstrates a new frontier in patient care, utilizing Desktop Metal’s additive manufacturing technology.
