In in vitro fertilization (IVF), oocytes are usually brought together with the processed sperm in a test tube and moved between several Petri dishes during the preimplantation phase. Microfluidic chips made from a newly developed photopolymerizing material and manufactured using 2PP 3D printing now enable fertilization, culture and cryopreservation of embryos in a single component.
